About Verena Street Coffee
Verena Street Coffee is always sustainably sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee farms. We roast our light roast coffees to a point where they are not too light or sour tasting, and we roast our dark roast coffees to a point where they are never too dark, bitter, or burned tasting.
Our specialty Arabica coffee beans are craft roasted in small batches. This means that you will receive high quality coffee fresher than anything else you can get your hands on!
Why do our coffee blends taste so rich and flavorful?
We have specially selected an optimal blend of beans from different origins for each of our coffee blends. This creates a unique flavor profile and a combination of natural bean characteristics that cannot be duplicated in any one type of single-origin coffee bean. Many coffee shops and coffee roasters procure common bean origins with fancy-sounding names and simply roast them to a specific level. We take extra steps to roast several different origins to different roast levels and combine them in a blend to create a more full-bodied and complex flavor. We typically combine 3 to 4 different bean profiles together into a blend to create a one-of-a-kind flavor that cannot be found anywhere else. We sometimes even take a specific bean origin and roast it to two different levels before combining it into a blend of other beans to provide a more nuanced flavor and aroma.
What does ‘craft roasted coffee’ mean?
Verena Street Coffee is craft roasted in small batches using the best Arabica coffee beans available in the world. This ensures that only the freshest and highest quality beans make it into our customers’ hands.
Each freshly roasted coffee is roasted to a specific level that best highlights its unique character and derives the best possible flavor and aroma from each bean. This creates an unforgettable experience in every cup. We hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoy creating it!
Specialty coffee is graded to meet or exceed a specific set of criteria regarding bean sizing, uniformity, and consistency. This is intended to ensure that specialty coffee meets a consistently higher quality and character than typical coffee beans. The specialty coffee movement started as a rebellion against mass-produced, low-cost coffees. The market for specialty coffee is growing at a faster rate than the overall coffee market as consumers develop a taste and preference for higher-quality coffees.
